YOU SEE MY DEAD BABY?

"This means the Southern Resident Orcas are almost out of time because I cannot reproduce any more due to all the toxins in my body from human poisoning of my habitat".

For as long as I breathe, I will grieve...

Dear Humans, It's me Tahlequah, the Orca who lost her baby at birth near Victoria, British Columbia in July 2018. After carrying her inside me for 17 months we had bonded and I cried for days when she only lived for a few minutes. I wanted everyone to feel my grief so I carried her dead body on my nose for 17 days, hoping all the world would see us through your media and internet... now do you remember me?

A Mother's grief is as timeless as her love...

Most humans do not know, or even care that we have feelings and emotions like them, otherwise they would not have killed 1000's of Orcas using machine guns, rifles and harpoons, as well as capturing us to sell for human entertainment. Studies and research into my Southern Resident Orca family has been going on for over 30 years by numerous scientists funded by governments, but we seem no closer to solving the problems.

My tears are just a drop in the ocean...

You give us names and say we are endangered, but without action this is just a word. You say our situation is dire , so what is it you don't yet know about our polluted bodies created by the human induced toxic food and living conditions that prevents you from taking immediate and emergency action? Throwing money at us for research sounds good, but has not solved the problems as you are well aware.

Is there hope for the next generation?

What will you tell your grandchildren when they ask, "why did you let all our west coast Orcas die, when you knew what had to be done to save them?" Please, no more political babble, research and studies, for you must act NOW to save us from extinction, yes I said extinction! Kind, thoughtful and Orca loving humans who know and understand how desperate we are, have built this website for you to read the immediate action points for your governments to help us live and grow our families in a clean, quiet and safe environment.

Will we simply fade away?

You often say the Orcas in our group contribute to your economy by way of tourism. If you really believe that, then we feel you have an obligation to help us. So please, please ACT TODAY on what you know is the cause of Orcas dying in BC coastal waters. We have lived here for thousands of years and want to continue our journey of life in this area, not only for us Orcas, but for you also. Thank you. With best wishes from Tahlequah and in loving memory of my dead baby, 4 year old Scarlet who starved to death just after I lost my baby and the thousands of Orcas humans have deliberately killed when you called us pests.
